Meet Dr. Tyler
Hey, I’m Tyler. I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy and the founder of Beyond Pain Physical Therapy.
I started this practice because I wanted to offer a higher level of care than what the traditional healthcare system allowed. After spending years working inside that system, I saw how rushed and impersonal it could be. There was never enough time to truly understand the person in front of me. That didn’t sit right with me.
At Beyond Pain, I’ve built something different. We slow things down. We dig deeper. We take the time to figure out what’s actually holding you back and build a plan around your goals, your body, and your life. Not the insurance system’s checklist.
I was born and raised in upstate New York and went to Utica University for both my undergraduate and graduate studies. After earning my DPT, I spent five years as a travel physical therapist, working in a wide range of settings across the country. I had the chance to help people in inpatient neuro rehab, outpatient sports medicine, and home health care. That experience taught me how different people move, live, and heal. It also showed me how powerful the right plan, in the right context, can be.
These days I live in Denver, Colorado with my soon to be wife, Courtney, and our two dogs, Cascade and Porter. We spend as much time as we can outside. Hiking, camping, road-tripping, and finding new places to explore together. That’s what keeps me grounded and inspired.
Fitness and movement have always been central to my life. I’ve run the NYC Marathon and completed an ultramarathon. I’ve competed in CrossFit and powerlifting. I’ve pushed my body to its limits, and I’ve also had to work through setbacks, injuries, and uncertainty. That blend of passion and experience shapes how I work with people every day.
Right now, I’m in the process of writing a book for active adults and athletes who feel stuck in the frustrating cycle of pain, setbacks, and false starts. It’s a guide built on everything I’ve learned from years of working with clients, training myself, and rebuilding after injury. My goal is to help people better understand their pain, rebuild trust in their bodies, and create real, lasting progress they can feel proud of. Writing this book is my way of putting all the tools, stories, and lessons in one place so more people can return to doing what they love without fear.
Beyond Pain Physical Therapy is more than just a clinic. It’s a space where your goals, your struggles, and your story matter. Whether you're working through pain, trying to get back to performance, or want to feel strong and capable again, I’m here to help you get there.
Let’s get to work
